Potato fry
Ingredients :
Potatoes

8 nos
|
Curry leaves
|
As needed
|
Cumin seeds/ jeeragam
|
1 spoon
|
Pepper pods
|
2 spoon
|
Oil
|
3 or 4 spoons
|
Salt
|
To taste
|
Methi
|
As desired
|
Preparation Method :
1.
Peal the
skin of the potatoes and cut into small cubes.
2.
Wash it and cook it in a kadai with about half a
glass of water. Add 2 pinches of salt when it is cooking. The potatoes should
be ¾ cooked.
3.
Now in a kadai , add oil and wen the oil is
heated add the potatoes and fry for some time.
4.
Crush the cumin and pepper pods into a coarse
mixture and add it to the frying potatoes. Add salt and mix well
5.
Add the curry leaves and Methi leaves if u like.
I added about 2 tsp of methi leaves. ( I used Everest Dry Methi )
6.
Fry till the potatoes are cooked well. You can
also allow it to roast till it becomes crunchy. But this will consume more oil.
7.
If need u can add a pinch of turmeric powder and
increase the pepper amount.
